"dwc:fieldNotes": "NOTEBY J. Longino, NOTEDATE 10-Feb-05: Solenopsis; cloud forest; collecting in open pasture; epiphyte-covered rotten wood. There was an Acromyrmex colony in a pocket between epiphytes and rotten wood (see next). Adjacent to the Acromyrmex were these Solenopsis. They were very abundant, and in the general disturbance were intermingled with the Acromyrmex. There seemed to be no aggressive interactions. This was in contrast to a neighboring Pheidole, which had frequent aggressive interactions with Acromyrmex. I found a physogastric queen among the workers. This species seemed to be very abundant in rotten wood in the pasture.",
