"dcterms:description": "español: pomatias elegans la concha de este caracol tiene forma cónica con 4 o 5 espirales, y es de color amarillento o marrón grisáceo con puntos o bandas oscuras. el diseño puede ser bastante variable. el pie está hendido longitudinalmente, y cada una de las partes puede moverse por separado. presenta un opérculo calcáreo y duro, que permanece siempre pegado a la parte superior del pie por la zona trasera. con él se cierra herméticamente, de manera que puede conservar por mucho más tiempo la humedad interior. prefiere las zonas sombreadas y húmedas con suelos donde pueda excavar su madriguera. tiene hábitos nocturnos, aunque puede verse activo de día en colinas húmedas. aparece en el oeste de europa y en la cuenca del mediterráneo.",
