"dwc:fieldNotes": "NOTEBY J.Longino: Degraded forest. I cut a tall, very healthy-looking Cecropia obtusifolia. It contained an Azteca constructor colony whose structure was much like the one I dissected at Monteverde. There was a central carton nest which contained a single physogastric queen. There were some queen larvae but no adult alates. The branch tips contained only workers. There were milichiid flies in the trunk near the nest. Phil Ward noticed that there were mealy bugs scattered throughout the center of the carton nest, and wondered on what they might be feeding.",
