Collection RemarksCommon, caudex short, rosettes 6 - 10 dm wide, of ca. 50 - 100 (-150) leaves in 13 spirals. Leaves green to mostly gray, 2.5 - 5 dm long x 8 -1 4 cm above and 6.5 - 13 cm just above base. Flowers 7-10 cm long (excl. stamens & styule), erect, full of nectar. Ovary green, 3.5 - 6 cm long x 8 x 12 mm. Perianth yellow, becoming more orange-yellow in age, 3.5 - 4.5 cm long, the segments 17 - 33 mm long x 11 - 15 mm, triangular-oblong, the apex narowly rounded, subcucullate, ciliate. Filaments 3.5 - 7 mm long x 3 - 5 x 2 2.5 mm, inserved at the middle of the tube, anthers 24 - 30 x 3.5 x 4.5 mm. Style becoming 6 - 9 cm long x 2.5 - 4 mm, stigma 4 -5 mm wide.
