Swampy forest on undulating, glaciated terrain with Acer rubrum, Betula alleghaniensis, Fagus grandifolia, Magnolia acuminata, Prunus serotina, Tilia americana and Tsuga canadensis, and understory of Acer pennsylvanicum, Ilex decidua, Populus tremuloides, Rhododendron maximum and Viburnum lantanoides, and adjoining kettle bog with scattered Larix laricina, Picea mariana and Pinus strobus, and understory of Chamaedaphne calyculata, Gaylussacia baccata, Ilex decidua and Vaccinium spp.
